The Chief passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Julia M. Seton kept his adult daughter Anya informed about her father’s condition through letters (that are currently being digitized). Meanwhile, their young daughter Beulah (Dee) was sent to “Uncle Ted” down the road to keep her from seeing her father in such poor health.
Julia continued his legacy through lectures and books until she was unable. Then Dee took up the torch, tapping into Woodcraft groups across the globe until she was unable. Now, the latest reincarnation of the Ernest Thompson Seton Institute is reintroducing his works to the world.
This afternoon (October 23, 2022) we commemorate his passing with the launch of a Seton’s Book Club at 4:00 p.m. with TWO LITTLE SAVAGES as the first book. There is still time to register for the Book Club (even if you are not able to join us this afternoon.)
