Wolf nominated to be the USA’s National Mammal in 1981

Although Mrs. Mary Trindal’s pitch to Congress for making the wolf our country’s National Mammal was unsuccessful, her passionate plea to save the dwindling population is still important.  See page 6 of the Animal Health Foundation‘s magazine for the details.  The image is Seton’s “Sleeping Wolf” which hangs at the Seton Gallery on the Academy for the Love of Learning’s campus in Santa Fe, NM.

Ernest Thompson Seton – A Scout Appeals for Peace

In communicating with members of the Woodcraft League of the Czech Republic, we have exchanged documents of ET Seton’s work.  I sent them a transcript of “The Hunting Wolves” from a recording published by Ron Edmonds and in return, I received a Radio Praha article, recorded in 2015 that offers sections of a talk that ET Seton gave there in 1936 with commentary by David Vaughan and Anglo-American University student Michaela Koštálová.
